2023 WAGE & COMPENSATION FINAL REPORT AVAILABLE NOW!

Content by: Holleigh Alexander-Ramsey, President, Rocky Mountain Spa & Wellness Association

The purpose of this Wage & Compensation Survey is to help employers (and employees) within the spa industry across the Rocky Mountain region understand how spa positions are paid in different geographic areas, and to identify trends in wage and salary levels.

We believe that a compensation analysis is an essential part of a company’s workforce acquisition approach because it helps to recruit and retain the best workers. Our Wage & Compensation Survey targeted spa’s specific to our region, was completely confidential, and in the following pages, is a comprehensive report of standard pay with data obtained from each of the six ROMOSA* member states.

How We Did This

The Rocky Mountain Spa & Wellness Association conducted this survey to better understand the pay and compensation of spa employees in the Rocky Mountain region. This analysis is based on 64 respondents, all of whom are spa owners and senior or executive level managers with direct knowledge and influence or decision-making and/or responsibility for the annual budget planning of compensation for all spa departmental positions within their organization.

The data was collected as part of a comprehensive survey conducted by The Rocky Mountain Spa & Wellness Association from Sept. 18 – Oct. 13, 2023. Everyone who took part is a spa owner/operator within one of ROMOSA’s six member states (Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, & Wyoming).
